NFA Q318-Fire Service Supervision - alavette - 02-13-2010
Hi Everyone,
I've decided to get going on some of my electives and I've completed Q118. I wanted to dive right in with Q318 Fire Supervision, but there is not an option to click on the modules or the exam.
Is this still available to take? Anyone know what's going on?

Ok, it seems for this course there is only one exam the final exam.
So you would read the module material for the 8 modules, then take the final exam.
It seems like you have to finish one module before moving onto the next. So under the content structure click on the words module 1 and it should open the PDF file. It does not have audio like Q-137 has, it is only PDF files.

I guess my brain had made a pitstop after working in ALEKS all week.
I was closing the window with the "x" in the corner instead of clicking on the escape button at the bottom of the first module.
The customer service rep said some courses will not let you jump around and you have to go in order with the modules.

I just finished Q318. It took me about 9 hours. I enjoyed the topic and am happy to have 1 credit! (Now I have a nice "round" 51 credits.)
Alavette, how long did Q118 take you to complete?
Has anyone taken Q137? How long did it take?
How do I get the credits to an ACE transcript? Will NFA do that? Do I set up an account at ACE and get the credits on my transcript through that account?

NAP...I worked on it pretty much all day yesterday. I also completed Q118 but Q137 may be a bit of a challenge for me since it's math.
I'm working on my algebra now in ALEKS and some of it is giving me a headache.
I've already set up my ACE account. I was waiting to complete my math requirements along with Q137 so I can submit everything at once. I'm not sure if this is how I should do it. Suggestions anyone?

Nap,
My son took Q137 on 2/5/10, it took him about 2 hrs. He said it was the easiest since it was math.
He has also taken the other two courses with NFA, he listed them on his ACE report and after about 5 days NFA gave credit for them. On Q137, he has not been credited yet since he turned it in on 2/5/10, ACE office has been closed since that day but I do expect to see the credit on his transcript soon.

Doing math problems for 2 hours and earning another credit is very tempting!
I don't know when or if I will try the other 2 NFA courses.
I will probably just submit this credit now, so that I can get my associate degree finished.

I completed Q137 last night and passed!! I went to sleep with a smile on my face. Now I've completed and passed all 3 NFA courses.
I've already submitted the Q118 and Q318 courses to ACE and they were approved.
This may sounds a bit minor, but I was so intimidated since it was math.
momtomany5...your son was right..it was the easiest and I finished in about 3 hours.
