Hello everyone.

I've seen this in other posts but I thought I'd start a new thread on this just to give everyone a heads up.

I spoke with my advisor at Excelsior today and she informed me that the CLEP Information Systems & Computer Applications & the DSST Introduction to Computing DO NOT DUPLICATE EACH OTHER.

So I figure that those interested in taking either one at Excelsior would be wise to take the other since they don't duplicate and you can in essence obtain 6 credits from studying "virtually" the same material.

I do believe that these two do duplicate at TESC...in case someone was wondering.

Thank you so much for asking about and sharing this information! I was planning to take these next and was hoping they did not duplicate eachother. Now I know for sure. These are the credits I need to finish my associate degree!

Thanks again. You made my day!

Yep, I got exam approval through Excelsior for both MIS and Info Systems/Comp Applications. Passed both, credit for both.

Hey Guys...

I was gonna call Excelsior on Monday but was just curious if anyone knew the answer to this already.

Does anyone know if the DSST Business Ethics duplicates DSST Ethics in America?

I'm going for Liberal Studies and my advisor said that I can take the DSST Business Ethics for an Upper Level Humanities. Then I was sitting here yesterday wondering if I can take the DSST Ethics in America too. I'm pretty sure there has gotta be at least 40% overlap...but I'm just guessing based on the fact sheets.

Thanks everybody.
