Yes, I saw him yesterday. I told him it was darn time he got a fire under his butt, maybe I scared him off hilarious Marshall, is that you????? - mlwilliamsiv - 01-30-2010 Quote: Yes, I saw him yesterday. I told him it was darn time he got a fire under his butt, maybe I scared him off Jennifer...I've been scared of you since I've met you!!! ![]() Kelly...I've surely missed you too! As to my disappearance from IC...last year really sucked for me and I just took a hiatus. Long story short, I believe this accurately illustrates last year for me---:nopity: I'm back again...as you can see. Hope all my "ole" pals are doing well and still kicking butt. I need 6 classes to finish my Associates which I plan on finishing by May 1st: -English Composition I (Straighterline) -Macroeconomics (Straighterline) -Microeconomics (Straighterline) -Beginning Algebra (ALEKS) -Intermediate Algebra (ALEKS) -DSST Technical Writing I am going to make this a GREAT YEAR because Lord knows I need one. It's going to be tough trying to finish my degree with the CLEP/DSST route because of my work schedule...unless I can find a job working nights. It would be so nice if testing centers here had Saturday hours. On top of that...I'm expecting a son in May so you guys...pray for me!!! I love you all and peace be with you. From a loyal degree seeker, Marshall Marshall, is that you????? - CLEP101 - 01-30-2010 I guess it has been a while since I last saw you on here. Welcome back and congrats on your soon to be daddy status. Marshall, is that you????? - ShotoJuku - 01-30-2010 Welcome Back - it's time to finish what you started! Marshall, is that you????? - marianne202 - 01-30-2010 Marshall, Welcome back and congrats on your son! Wow, what a great, eventful year 2010 is going to be for you. I just finished my BS at EC and should finish my second BS with EC in Sept. We can do this together! I look forward to seeing more of you and hearing about your progress. Marshall, is that you????? - jadechow - 01-30-2010 Oh Marshall, I am soooooo glad you're back! I have missed you like crazy, my old friend. I hear what you're saying about the work schedule/CLEP test thing and I totally get it. You are very smart to take advantage of Aleks and Straighterline as alternatives to knock out some of those credits. So, I take it the problem isn't study time, it's a time when the testing centers are open? None of my testing sites here are open on Saturdays, so I feel your pain there. I saved the best for last - congratulations on your impending fatherhood. That is terrific news! :hurray: Your child will be extremely fortunate to have someone as wonderful as you in it's life. 2010 is going to be your year, Marshall. With your positive attitude and obvious dedication, nothing can get in your way. Go out there and make it happen for yourself. I have confidence in you and we are here to help if we can. But, you know that. Or, at least you better or I'll send Cook after you. She's can be a tough "cookie". ![]() Best to you! Kelly Marshall, is that you????? - jadechow - 01-30-2010 You know Marshall, since you're going for a BS Liberal Studies, what about taking the GRE in Lit or Psych to bang out the max number of credits for the least amount of money? Also, the tests are on Saturdays. ![]() It's only slightly more money than a regular old CLEP so it's not like you have to get the whole 30 credits to make it worthwhile. Say, you only get 6 credits - well for a little more than the price of a CLEP and the ability to take it on a Saturday - it might be worth considering. I guess my point is - you don't have to commit your whole life to the GRE and go for the max number of credits to make it a feasible option. Marshall, is that you????? - categ - 01-30-2010 Yay Marshall, glad you are back in the race. Congrats on the impending birth of your son, that in and of itself will make 2010 a better year. I am trying to finish by May too so I feel your pain. I know you can do it. Welcome back. Marshall, is that you????? - Lindagerr - 01-30-2010 We have missed you. 2009 was a miserable year for most people I know, but 2010 has already started off better. You can't say 2009 was all bad your son was conceived ![]() I am also trying to complete my degree this spring. We will all cheer each other on. |
