Hi Everybody,

I just wanted to post about something pleasant that I experienced this week when working with TESC. I know that TESC has a bad rep for not being the most "customer service oriented" school; however, I did feel that what happened this week warranted mention.

Ok, first I sent them a proctor request form (to take 3 TECEPS at my local library) to approve. I was pretty sure they were not going to ok it because the librarian told me (and wrote on the form) that they will supervise me during testing - but they will not sit in the room and cannot guarantee that I will be "observed" the entire time. Since TESC's proctor policy clearly asks for that level of proctoring - I figured they'd decline it and started working on my plan B. Lo and behold, within 24 hours I received an email from TESC indicating that my proctor request was approved. Big Grin

Then, I sent the Academic office a request to allow the new Dantes Bus Ethics exam to replace the Bus in Society TECEP. Again, not expecting a positive response (or any timely response for that matter). Again, TESC totally floored me by sending me a "YES" email within 48 hours.

Always being 1 to push my luck, I called TESC today to inquire as to why some of my CLEPs and almost none of my Dantes tests show up on my academic eval when I have always selected TESC as my "report scores to" college during the online testing process. Well, lightning struck again and I happened to get the most helpful woman on the line. She did a little research and said that some of my report scores came to TESC without any identification numbers (social security or the like) but that if I emailed her a complete list of every test I've taken, she'll try to match them up with their records and get them added to my eval.

Just wanted to share something positive about TESC since I'm always the first to trash somebody when they're not getting it done for us. Have a great night.

Kelly

I know many people have had a hard time with TESC, but I've had similar good experiences, I guess they've taken heed and made improvements. GO TESC

I had some complicated changes and additions to my degree plan and I didn't feel like making an appointment. So I just wrote a long e-mail and submitted it as a ticket. within 48 hours I had a response to my ticket and my degree plan was all correctly updated. That was a nice surprise.

Maybe they are just getting better at the whole customer service thing?

Could be. Maybe they've gotten enough complaints and decided to act on it? Or maybe it's just my lucky week and I should buy a lottery ticket or head to Vegas? Yeah, I hope it's that one!!!!!! Big Grin

Wow that's awesome! Time to go "All In" and "Double Down" and then go to 7 Eleven and buy a lucky scratcher and a Big Gulp to add to your new found wealth. And make sure not to tell your friends or relatives your whereabouts either. Also, make sure you don't quit your day job, I don't want to see you on an episode of E's "Curse of the Lottery". Just Kidding.

I can't wait to call TESC next week after hearing this.

I had some serious deadlines with getting TESC approval to take a class at another college. TESC came through beautifully for me and worked with the college to get everything approved in time. Then, the college kept losing my transcript request and TESC put my degree eval on the bottom of the stack and flagged it as waiting for a transcript to keep me from getting denied for graduation. Every time I needed assistance they came through. No complaints from me!! cheersmate

I know, right. I'm already planning to dye my hair and change my name. I'm thinking something exotic for a new name like Angelina Jolie. That's low key, right? Wink

Thanks to you guys I have my own lottery ticket, they're called FEMA! I still can't believe they're "free", somebody pinch me. 6 free college credits for me translates into at least $600 in the real world, not including CLEPS or ALEKS. I've never been so proud of 6 cheesy certificates straight out of my printer. BTW, they look even cheesier in black and white. I can't wait to make extra copies to staple on my resumes and applications. LOL!

Awesome! I am so happy for you. Isn't this a great community of people?
