Problems with ACE transcripting - Rhashad - 01-12-2010
Has anyone else had trouble getting aleks or straighterline courses transcripted through ACE? I've had several courses "stuck" in 'pending' and 'approved' status'. I know they had an extended vacation but some courses date back to 12/2.
Am I the only person?

My intermediate Algebra is still pending from 12/29/09 but Trig and Beginning Algebra went through fine. What's odd is that Trig was the last of the bunch. I emailed them and so far I have had no response.

I'm waiting on Straighterline's Macroeconomics to appear anywhere in my account. It was sent over during their break.
One e-mail sent through the form and one from my personal e-mail account, but no response yet.

My aleks courses have always been approved within 3 or 4 hours by aleks, then only took 2 to 3 days for ace to approve them and add them to my transcript. The whole thing for all of my different courses ranging from aleks, defense ammunition center, NFA, MWRA, have never taken longer then 4 days to get added to my transcript.

I had an Aleks course from 12/20/09 that just got posted to my Ace transcript the other day. I've vented about this before. I know someone here said Ace is a small, nonprofit, but still......They're service is sooo slow. Heck, I'd be happy to pay a little more to get things done faster. I mean it costs us to keep the SL or Aleks accounts "active" even after we're done with the course just waiting for the Ace credit to appear. :ack:

thanks guys, my first experience with ACE was seamless, I guess the holiday break has been overwhelming to those guys. I sent a message as well with no response. Guess I'll have to be patient.

It took them almost three weeks for me, approved just a handful of days ago, I emailed them about the issue, it was fixed the next day. Actually they finished all five courses at once even though it was quite the time span. Come to think of it, maybe it was over three weeks for the oldest....

I gave up on waiting for an e-mail reply and called today. "All representatives are busy", but it was great that their phone system offers the option of having someone call you without losing your place in the queue.
Jessica called before too long and was quickly able to find that I had two transcripts. The one I was seeing showed my two ALEKS courses from the summer as approved but not yet on a transcript. The other had all three courses already on the transcript, and she said I should be able to see it after 24 hours.

I still haven't heard anything so I'm starting to get a little worried. I'm not worried about it being added, but more worried about the timing for TESC. The only reason I haven't called them yet is because I'm still debating Intro Stats with ALEKS. :willynilly:
