Math.....again! - categ - 12-15-2009

I really want to get this Math exam behind me. So in 4 weeks, I have gone from 6th grade Math to almost knowing enough College Math to pass....only pass. Seriously I had virtually no math background. This is such a stretch for me.

I just took part 1 of the of the first Peterson practice exam and surprisingly answered 21 out of 33 correctly. Now do you think that means I am getting close to ready? I hear the Peterson's get more difficult as you go through them (right?) but since everyone says they are harder than the actual exam.....I might be alright????

If I fail, I won't be able to graduate in May (waaahhh) but I guess that is not the end of the world. But I have pushed so hard in the last 9 months, I would be disappointed. Anyway, I plan to get down and dirty and study the things I am weak on until the exam but I need some reassurance that I am close from someone who has been through it and tested before with the Peterson's.

Thanks.

Math.....again! - Basket Weaver - 12-15-2009

I had taken all the high school math one could take...however that was many years ago and I had forgotten most of it. I went and found a tutor and can't say enough for how much she taught me in a very short amount of time; two weeks to be exact. It was tailored to passing the college math test and got me past my irrational fear of taking this test. I passed and I consider it one of my smarter decisions; math is one of those rare subjects that are black and white. If you know the whys and hows you will be able to figure out and problem they throw at you on this test. Hope this helps.
