EC Business Policy Case Study - need some guidance - JanusthePhoenix - 11-05-2009 I'm nearing the final weeks of the course, and I can no longer put off the case analysis work. My problem is primarily that the objective of the paper is very vague to me. I have never done a case analysis before, so perhaps that is why I am confused. Am I supposed to be making an argument for a strategy that the company should take or should have taken? Am I making judgment calls at all, or just objectively analyzing? I am also not entirely sure what is expected of my outline. It says less than two pages and gives me a list of vague topics, but that is about it. Can anyone who has taken this class before explain more clearly what is expected of me on this project? I'm a little nervous about turning in work when I don't know exactly what I should be doing. EC Business Policy Case Study - need some guidance - MISin08 - 11-06-2009 Hi, Phoenix -- I hope some folks who have taken the class will respond because I'm taking it in a few months and I'd like to see what people have to say. However, I know the case method is used because educators feel it's a good way to teach how non-structured problems are actually solved in business, hence the vagueness. This link (or here)is not from your class but I found it useful for thinking about cases. True. I've always been great at taking direction, so thinking in a non-structured way about schoolwork is frustrating after all those CLEPs I was so good at. ![]() Oh, and my firewall doesn't like your link for whatever reason. |
