I see this question in this forum from time to time. What is the easiest test out there?
Well, I found this online and thought it might help.

So, how do CLEP exams stack up as to difficulty? It is hard to say with precision because College Board and Dantes do not publish their overall pass rates, but the military posts their pass rates online. Military testers can take CLEP or DSST (Dantes) exams for free which could influence their choice to take an exam “cold” or without a lot of preparation. That being said, here are the military pass rates, arranged easiest to most difficult.

Bear in mind a few details. These pass rates are for 2008 military on base computer versions of these exams. Some have been modified since these results were compiled. The best way to make an exam easy is to work hard, use the best materials available and study for exams that interest you. And a sure fire edge is being a member of InstantCert.

More later on what makes an exam easy.

So very true. "How hard was the test?" "Easy, because I studied for it."

Thanks for posting the updated military pass rates. Now we can find the exams on the list we've passed so we can feel good about ourselves. hilarious

I'd be curious to know how IC members rate? From the postings here I think we are doing better percentage wise -- but because of our hard work, IC, and the great feedback from the forum members.

IC rocks!

By the way, nj593, thanks for sharing this.

There's actually a thread for that very question. Big Grin http://www.degreeforum.net/general-education-testing-discussion/5070-poll-question-pass-rate-among-members.html?highlight=pass+rate

Yeah but that's just a poll. The only thing I didnt like about the thing I posted was that I noticed at the end it was an instantcert blog. So, I dont know how true the numbers are or where that person got their numbers from. Not saying instacert might lie or manipulate websites by setting up blogs. But, I dont want to post anything that might seem like fact. So just a heads up guys and gals that I dont know where that person truly got those numbers from.

You are free to set up your own thread and ask this question. While I realize it's far from scientific, and PEOPLE could lie, Instant cert has nothing to do with the results, I don't know how it's a blog, but I have only had 1/2 cup coffee...let me wake up first.

To find your own pass rate- simply take your passed exams divided by your attempted exams and post your %. If someone posted a while back and has since tested, their pass rate may be higher or lower...so keep that in mind.

Military pass rates get posted here every year or so. There are a lot of threads that discuss some of the bias in those stats. But, I don't want my comments to be mistaken as disrespectful to the honorable men and women who serve and protect my country. That said, I think cost is part of the picture.

Cost- it's free, so there isn't really anything to lose. In other words, you might be more willing to test if you know you can take it again and again at no cost. IC members are paying to CLEP and paying to be members here, and in some cases paying the yearly fee to EC or TESC.

On the flip side, I have made a lot of observations about why I think the IC pass rate is higher than the military pass rate- that was the purpose of me starting that poll. The thread (not blog) is in my sig line titled "InstantCert WORKS!" .

Hi Cook,
No I meant where I got my info from was a blog not yours. Just didnt want you to think that I meant your post. I was half asleep when I posted so maybe my tone came off that way.
