Anyone have suggestions for study materials for these courses. I have textbook but graphs are throwing me off. Math is not my strong suit. Maybe some websites or videos that anyone knows about to aid in understanding the graphs better.

Thanks for any input.

Use the online student resources for the book. Interactive Graphs It has interactive graph explanations, sample quizzes...basically everything you need to understand everything in detail. The interactive graph explanations require JAVA Download Free Java Software - Sun Microsystems

Tip: Review the chapter sample quizzes.

I used iTunesU for this, and it was a great help. He's kind of cheesy, check this guy out. He's a goldmine. Here are a couple of links (but you must have itunes installed on your pc/mac):

Instructor: Jeff Caldwell - Principles of Microeconomics

Instructor: Jeff Caldwell - Principles of Macroeconomics

If that link doesn't work, go to iTunes store, iTunesU, Business, subcategory: Economics

Also, study Macroeconomics first, then go to micro. I highly recommend reading the specific feedback forum for your best study information.

1. As mentioned in other threads, both parties state that the contract ends at the end of the year, not at the end of the month. I suggest that you contact both parties to get the official word 1st hand if this is a concern.

2. Courses can absolutely be completed in that timeframe. I completed Macroeconomics in 6 days with a B, Microeconomics in 7 days with an A, Accounting I in 6 days with an A, and should finish Accounting II on Saturday, which will be 5 days from the start.

I did speak to both parties, in fact, I spoke to the main person at Ft. Hays who is in charge of this program her name is Janice _________ and she stated emphactically that the end of september is it!!!!!!!!

From one of the Straighterline advisors, less than five minutes ago:

"Nothing is expiring. The people posting on blog sites are misinformed."

Wish we could all get on the same page.:o

Anything is possible if you want it bad enough! Great job!

And I just got a call directly from Ft. Hays after speaking with someone this afternoon who told me the contract was cancelled (they were wrong). The call I got was from Janice Taylor (main liason at Ft. Hays for incoming straighterline students and Ft. Hays' virtual college). I had called the Provost office at Ft. Hays to see if I finished this course by sept 30 if I would get credit earlier. They had Janice Taylor return my call and tell me that the contract has been renewed and though there was a question earlier there is now no need for concern as the contract is good at least through the beginning of next summer.

Sorry but we all have been told different things, I know who Janice Taylor is and I know she was the one who had the correct information. I have spoken with her last spring and since she is, in fact, the direct person I believe we have this question settled. Straighterline transfers through Ft. Hays can continue at least until next summer 2010.
