Newbie with Questions - davisrm - 09-15-2009
I'm a newbie that was "lurking in the background" and reading all the posts. But now I'm an official member and have lots of questions! I'll limit it to two for now.
Since I couldn't decide which of the Big Three was best for me I went online and applied to all three. (I'm interested in pursuing a BS in Organizational Leadership.) I've requested official transcripts and am waiting for them so they can be sent to each. Here's the question.....
I received a letter from TESC stating I've been accepted (and they haven't received any transcript)! How is this possible and should I be concerned?
I ask because, I also applied for financial aid and received notification that I qualify for a Pell Grant and the information was sent to all of the Big Three and I don't want it reserved by TESC until I decide where I want to go.
I've been trying to figure out if the Pell Grant will cover all of my fees and tuition, but when I ask the question all of their responses seems to be vague. Which leads me to my second question.....
Can anyone explain how the Pell Grant works? If it is an annual allocation and I'm begin admitted in November or later what happens to the difference which was allocated is it not drawn down by the institution?
