Literature course needed. Cheap is Good! - YokotaJo - 08-16-2009 I need to find an online undergrad course for Literature to take sooner rather than later. I do not feel that I can spend the time to get ready for a CLEP since I do not have any background at all on this subject. I CLEP'd out of a BA in Psychology in March 09 and loved it. I am loaded with my Masters courses and just need to take an easy online Lit class to fulfil my "Content Competency " requirement. A community college is fine and undergrad is fine. I would just rather not spend $500 taking it. I contacted Penn Foster but they do not have a Literature class unless someone knows differently. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks !!! Literature course needed. Cheap is Good! - cinderly - 08-17-2009 Chemeketa Community College ($70/credit hour) has online literature courses listed in their fall course catalog. No idea how "easy" they are; since they appear to lower-level, the reading should be a bit less intensive than upper-level literature courses. Literature course needed. Try Clovis Community College instead. Literature course needed. Cheap is Good! - Sam - 08-17-2009 If things haven't changed since I checked last yr, I think Santa Fe Community College and DeAnza were dirt cheap. De Anza College :: Distance Learning Center :: Course Information The Course Catalog http://www.sfccnm.edu/sfcc/files/SFCCCatalog0910Part1.pdf (pg 17 prices) http://www.sfccnm.edu/sfcc/files/SFCCCatalog0910Part2.pdf (pg 163 lit classes Seems like taking the clep would be the faster route.-All you need is a pass. Good luck! Literature course needed. Cheap is Good! - croc870 - 08-17-2009 Try the Analyzing and Interpreting Literature exam. You will certainly pass it, especially if you're currently taking master's level courses. Literature course needed. Chemeketa works on the quater hour rather then semester hour. Literature course needed. Cheap is Good! - peace123 - 08-17-2009 jonasling Wrote:But $243 per credit for Out-of-State students. This is from the Chemeketa site :New Students Chemeketa Online "If you live in the U.S. or are a U.S. Citizen and do not plan on attending any classes at any of the Chemeketa campuses you will not be charged for Out-Of-State tuition should you reside outside the state of Oregon" Literature course needed. Cheap is Good! - YokotaJo - 08-18-2009 Thank you all very much. I know that I can always count on the Degree Forum scholars to know all the unknown places to take classes. I will go and check each one. I need to see if I can use the Analyzing Lit CLEP but I think I already checked and it had to be an actual Literature CLEP or class. Thanks again!!
