How long are courses at TESC and how many credits am I allowed to take in one semester or blocks?
Im haven't done my eval yet but wanted to get ready.

How long are courses at TESC >> 12 weeks
and how many credits am I allowed to take in one semester>> 6 TESC credits is considered part time, and 12 TESC credits is considered full time. I don't remember if they have a cap on courses. HOWEVER, you can earn additional credits each semester by taking exams. I averaged around 27 credits +/- per semester. If you are only taking CLEP exams, then TESC will have you down as taking zero credits.

i realize this is an old thread that i'm bumping up but i'm VERY new to this process. i just discovered TESC and for the first time at 37 years old think it might be possible to take some college courses in a way that i am comfortable with. that being said at 27 credits per 12 weeks it seems to me that receiving a BA in a year and a half would be quite doable. yes or no?

Yes it is doable. Some here have done it in much less time.It all depends on how quickly you learn, how much time you can commit, and how hard you want it.
I have a daughter your age I have been trying to convince to try this. I started at over 50 and have finished my AA and BA am now working on second BA and possibly AAS and then MAT. You will get hookedhilarious . Just read over some of the threads here and get started.

burbuja did it in 9 months, and was accepted into an international dual-MBA program.
ryoder did it in I think under 6 months, and is now working on a second bachelor's and an MBA simultaneously.
But they are CLEP mutant freaks of nature after all. hilarious

I found it strange how a TESC and COSC advisor thought I couldn't finish my BA by the end of the year since they should be used to people testing out. In the spring, COSC had me at 51 credits and TESC had me at 62. By August, I will have at least 32 more credits and most of them were done by taking courses. I would have more, but I have to wait for TESC to evaluate the new credits so I know which tests to take next.
