Must dsst's be taken at a registered test site. Or simply authorized by an official proctor. I ask because the lab at my school went down. I asked the proctor could she sign me on at another computer somewhere else in the school. She did and was kinda nervous about it. Shes a friend of mine and I was wondering would they be able to track this or if they keep track of certain computers that administer the test.

My understanding is they have to be done at a registered, proctored test site. I believe that the network ID and test center ID is transmitted to Prometric when the test is downloaded to their server. As long as that info is the same as they have on file you should be ok, but if not they have the right to void your exam. Normally if the computer has a problem, they have an alternate computer at the same test location for you to use or they would end your exam and notify Prometric of the technical issue and reschedule your exam. If Prometric has an issue with your exam it will be up to your proctor or test center admin to get the exam accepted. Keep in mind that you would have a right to appeal any decision against you. Good Luck!
