Hi Blue,

There are always several versions of each exam in use at any given time. I think that the exams 'evolve' gradually rather than 'change' at a set time each year.

If it were possible to do so, you could take an exam one day, and then retake it the very next day, and there would be a difference between the two versions. Many questions would be the same, but some questions would be replaced by new ones.

Over time, they introduce some entirely new questions and phase out some old ones. But the 'meat and potatoes' of the exam remains the same.

If they were to make an en masse change to any given exam, they would need to re-issue their study guides, get their exams re-evaluated by ACE, and make an anouncement on their web site several months in advanced etc. It would be a huge pullava.

This is why we don't see anouncements from them saying, "On June 30th, we'll be implementing a new version of XXXX exam." That would only happen very occasionally, and for very specific reasons.

So yes, the exams do change over time. But I think it is more of a gradual and constant evolution, rather than a complete changeover from one set of questions to another, on a specific date each year.

Hope that makes sense,
