Called TESC this morning with 'newbie' questions.... - LatinTea - 06-15-2009

I wanted to give it a try since reading all the negative comments about them and see what response I got. I dialed and pressed '1' for assistance and to my surprise, a woman got on the phone almost immediately and greeted me with a very pleasing demeanor. She was both courteous and professional. It was a pleasure to speak with her. The questions I had were answered promptly and without any pressure to enroll. Granted my questions were simple, so we'll see how it goes later when I have meatier ones to ask.

A catalog is on now the way to me so we'll see when that shows up. I'm also requesting a catalog from EC and COSC to be able to compare them better. Just gotta have one in my hands so I can peruse it without always being on the computer!

I have to say I have had the same experience with them on the phone. I have called about 4 times and each time I spoke with women who were pleasant and helpful.

Amazing, this man was top notch too! Very professional and helpful, with loads of info. I have to say he even gave me more info and took lots of time with me explaining the process even better. To be fair, I didn't talk with TESC as much as I had just gotten up!

They are also sending a catalog. I'm excited about this! I've been researching and making charts and this and that, and my son says to me yesterday, 'but mom, have you looked into MY degree plan lately?' Smile

{Cross examination}
Gary: Latin Tea, I want to remind you your under oath. You said in your earlier testimony that you talked to a woman at TESC originally, we can have the reporter read it back to you if you like. Then, you stated it was a man. Now I have to remind you, you are under oath. Why the discrepency? Do you suffer from amnesia? Were you not clear in your description? I should also like to remind the court we have a possible hostile witness.

I surrender to the Grammar Police. You are right, I made a mistake. I confess. Sad Don't tell my son, the Grammar General; misplaced modifiers make him crazy!

Let me reword my sentence (pleeze!):

"Just spoke with someone at Excelsior...Amazing, this person was top notch too!"

Thanks, I feel so much better now. Smile

Gary: Your honor, the witness is steering the court from the facts. The question was if she stated she talked to a woman, why did she refer to that person as a man later in her testimony? Did she in fact talk to more than one person? Is she perjuring herself? The court deserves an answer or I ask you your honor to hold her in contempt...

Amazing, this man was top notch too ?????? Hmmmmmm

Margo: Since the 'persecuting' attorney is unwilling to allow revision of my initial statement, then I now plead insanity. I was out of my mind, sir, because 1) it was only 7:30 a.m. and 2) I hadn't had my first cup of tea. The second reason causes a lack of caffeine, which in turn can and often does lead to periods of crazy and even destructive behavior. I throw myself at the mercy of the court. On the other hand, I believe the other party may be involved in a conspiracy. Maybe he should be on trial here! Big Grin

I think Gary is the one that is confused...and has now confused LatinTea as well

The original post from LatinTea says she called TESC and talked to a woman who was courteous and professional. She also mentioned planning to call EC and COSC.

In her follow-up post, she said she called Excelsior and spoke with a man who was also top-notch.

It was at this point that Gary jumped in questioning the he/she issue.

Unless I'm missing something, this is pretty straight forward. LatinTea spoke with a woman from TESC and a man from Excelsior.

The only place I could see any confusion was that LatinTea started the first sentence of her follow-up post in the subject line.

LOL! This is one of the best threads I have read in a long time.

Move to dismiss, move to dismiss! Unrealiable witness!

LoL!

Just kidding, I have always had a good experience with the front end people at TESC as well.
