Straighterline or CLEP for Accounting? - journey21 - 05-31-2009 For my degree I need to take ACCT 280 & 281 On the Accounting IC it says: " PLEASE NOTE: According to the Collegeboard website, the 6-credit Principles of Accounting exam will no longer be available after June 30, 2007. It is being replaced by a 3-credit Financial Accounting exam. Our sections on Financial Accounting definitely cover a lot of the topics on the new exam, but we don't know yet if it'll be enough for a passing score (on the new 3-credit Financial Accounting exam)." For the two classes that I need should I go a different route other than IC in order to clep these classes? Should I use Straighterline or another program? Need a little advice here.......still pretty new to this stuff. Thanks. Not sure what is indicated by 280 and 281. Is this financial and managerial accounting? SL is a great option is you can get your school to accept the credit.
