Here's my thing..... I would like to use the CLEP and the DSST as a way of testing out of some classes but don't know where to start. It's been a long time since I've been in school and testing isn't my strong area to begin with.

Hi,
I'm 45 and hadn't been in school as a student in many, many years. I stumbled upon this website and it has been my savior. Join this forum and you can access the exam specific info which gives you specifics on what to study for the various exams. You can then access the IC flashcards which cover the material you need to review for each exam. Using these two resources along with the CLEP or DSST study guides / practice exams I earned 18 credits in 4 weeks and finished my AS degree. I then re-enrolled for my BS degree which I had no plan on doing when I started this journey. I'm now at about 36 credits from finishing my BS degree and have my sights set on graduate school! You can add other study materials in if you wish and I do use Wikipedia, textbook resources etc when I feel I need more help. For Ethics I used some free videos and podcasts which helped me understand the theories, but I found all that info here under specific exam feedback. Using Degreeforum and Instantcert will be most of what you need. Welcome and good luck on your journey! Oh the support from here is great too!

I assume when you mean join this forum you mean sign up for IC to access the flashcards?
I'm doing OK on the practice Peterson's exams, not great but passing.
You mentioned CLEP or DSST study guides / practice exams...... where do you get those? There seems to be so many different ones. Can you get them at the library? Or you have to buy it?

The other practice exams I use are the Peterson's and Learning Express Library (this place only has 3 practice CLEP exams but its free) I hope this helps!
