Foundations of Education Question - marianne202 - 05-11-2009

Hi All!

I have a question for those of you that have taken this exam. I'm scheduled to take this on Friday and I'm starting to stress about it. Do you have to know all the dates of the various acts, court cases etc? I'm having a hard time getting all the dates to stick in my ole brain! I can remember the acts / court cases and their changes, but the dates are another story. Please someone tell me I don't need to remember the specific dates. Also do I need to know specific amendment numbers or just what certain amendments did? I'm bogged down in a ton of reading for my online class and classes I'm teaching so these numbers just don't want to stick. If I don't need to fret about them it will decrease my stress level and I will feel better about taking this exam. Please let me know if I'm stressing for nothing! Thanks for your help!

I am studying for the same exam. The Feedback board lists out about 1000 topics that are on the test (!!!!) and everyone advises that the IC cards are about enough. That all said..... I have way too much info floating around in my head.

Since I am taking it the fast and furious way (just study enough to know enough and fast enough to take it and be done with it) I decided to go about my prep a bit differently this time. I took the list of the diff topics from the FB board and have gone down checking off each item. I am googling to find the term, checking the IC notes and pulling out my Educational Psych book a bit too. Once I have all the terms, I am going to go over the IC notes and review any cards having to do with the terms on the list.

Crazy study plan but there is soooo much info that just a name here or a date there or a term. Most posters stress that it is really more of a History of Education exam.

PM me and we can swap study guides or ???? Good Luck!!
