College Algebra CLEP today- - lor012 - 04-28-2009 Just a warning. A lot of the research I did on the forum were old postings and for those who are using petersons as a guide for the cleps, I failed today because none of the types of questions I study were really asked. Just some feedback. College Algebra CLEP today- - ShotoJuku - 04-29-2009 [COLOR="Navy"]Sorry about your exam results, we all stumble once in a while..... Just some feedback. Sorry about your results. The good news is it was College Algebra! There are a lot of avenues you can take to meet this requirement. You didn't mention which school you are attending, so check with them before taking any of these... but some options: -Upgrade! Take a Precalculus exam or Calculus CLEP -Straighterline Algebra ($99) -ALEKS (20-40 depending on how long it takes) I'm about to finish up Algebra, and I'm kind of going back and forth. I'm using ALEKS to study, but I have a straighterline course as well. Might use it to get graded credit, might not. But ALEKS is a good way to prepare. I would also recommend the dvds at mathtutordvd.com. Great explanations of difficult subjects. College Algebra CLEP today- - lor012 - 04-29-2009 Thanks for the feedback everyone. I went through the math textbook in about a month and a half. I did the assignments like I was in high school again. I did some practice test by using the textbook and my husband to randomize the questions, then I used the Peterson's practice tests to hone in on the 'particular' questions. College Algebra CLEP today- - ShotoJuku - 04-29-2009 But.......did you take all three Petersons practice exams in their entirety and what were your scores? College Algebra CLEP today- - lor012 - 04-29-2009 I took them all and I passed them with 60's |
