Excelsior Kudos! - marianne202 - 04-02-2009 Ok, I know it's easy to post negatives when things don't go as planned, but I thought I would post a positive! Long story short I was under the gun from my employer to finish my degree. I did my courses, but had some delays in getting the scores to show up on my transcript at EC. When it got down to the wire for me, they went above and beyond to get things done even though they didn't have to. They put me in for a May conferral even though my last exam score took a few extra day to post and I missed the cut off date by 2 business days. They sent my employer a letter to confirm I had finished in time. Then even though I paid my yearly student services fee in Feb. and I missed the 30 day graduation date cut-off they still agreed to apply my entire service fee to graduation. So now I only need to pay $40 for graduation instead of $495. Then I wanted to re-enroll into their BSHS program, but couldn't until after conferral in May. Well they allowed me to send my paperwork to get the free enrollment waiver in the BSHS program now, the advisor approved some classes so I don't lose 2 months waiting and then they will automatically enroll me on my conferral date. Well now it gets better. Today they called and said they moved up my conferral to April 17th! Just 2 weeks away! They knew this would help me with my employer and help me to get started on my BSHS degree. All I can say is WOW! I'm lovin' EC right now! If anyone has any doubts about what a great school this is or how they will be treated, take it from me they are wonderful and really work for the student. Ok so this wasn't so short, but I just wanted to say something positive about one of the big 3, since sometimes we don't get much of that around here! Excelsior Kudos! - Joel - 04-02-2009 Great story! It's wonderful to hear positives like this. I absolutely love EC as well. The only issue I've ever had with them is this new ACE DSST recommendation...I don't like the way it appears they're going with it Excelsior Kudos! - jonasling - 04-02-2009 Way to go, EC! Excelsior Kudos! - alleycat - 04-02-2009 What a wonderful story. I am so impressed that they took the time to service and take care of your very important needs. Great customer service! I am glad to hear they understood your position. Excelsior Kudos! - dc67 - 04-02-2009 That is a great story. I wish I had tried asking. I took my last test around Feb. 17th but they didn't get the svore for 2 weeks , so now I am in the may graduation. Good luck with your future plans. Doug Excelsior Kudos! - thatbrian - 04-05-2009 Polar opposite of the treatment that I received from TESC! Excelsior Kudos! - Katterina - 04-06-2009 I had a very similar experience when I graduated from EC. I needed to graduate a month earlier than my cutoff would allow because the conferral was required for a specific pay grade in a job I had applied for. They bumped my graduation date up and send a letter of qualification to the hiring center to show that I had completed all of my degree requirements. I got the job and with a great pay increase because of the degree-- thanks EC!

Excelsior Kudos! - Scholar Interrupted - 04-06-2009 Thanks for sharing, Marianne, and congratulations. It's nice to hear a positive story along with some of the negatives I've seen here. I've been very happy with my choice of Excelsior as well. Excelsior Kudos! - lolojapan - 04-06-2009 No problems with EC here either. It took me 2 days to complete credits for an AS, then as I waited for conferral, I could not enroll in the BS program, but they gave me a list of exams to take while I was waiting. So now I am back in the saddle with only 7 more ECE's to finish. BS in 6 months from the start. Awesome! BTW anybody know where to get study materials for Cultural Diversity? |
