Nerves and Technical Writing!! - mphelps75 - 03-30-2009

Hey guys, I am taking my first DSST Technical Writing in the morning and my nerves have the best of me. I have been studying and have taken note of the feedback on the forum, anyone have any last minute feedback on things I should go over or any strategies? Also I want to confirm that it is better to answer a question rather than leave it blank correct?
Any feedback is appreciated...

I need these 3 credits like crazy!!

Yes, answer the questions! No penalties for a wrong answer, so give it a shot!

If you're nervous, google "technical writing" and read everything you can find for the next two hours. Big Grin Make a list of jargon on an index card and review it in the morning before you leave for your test.

Get a good night's sleep and eat a healthy breakfast--y'know, eggs and toast, not fruit loops. Smile

You'll be fine! We're rooting for you!

Out of the 32 exams I've taken to so far, this was by far the easiest one. Don't sweat it!

I was also extremly nervous about this exam. As long as you know proper grammer and the major parts of reports and proposals you will be fine.

YES answer every question there are no points off for a wrong answer only correct answers are counted. You have a good chance of getting at least half the ones you guess on right if you just use good judgement.

Good Luck
