College Mathematics Advice - bthompson_40 - 03-18-2009 I need some help. I am brand new to IC and would like some advice. I would like to take the College Mathematics Clep but it has ben several years since I have done anything like it. I was looking through some of the questions and was completly lost. If I get all of the questions down do you think I could pass the test or should I try some other options too. I appreciate your time. College Mathematics Advice - markdenc - 03-19-2009 I took the college math about three weeks ago, I have not had a math class in 35 years. I tried the college algebra but missed passing by 3 questions. For me that was a major victory. Trying to teach yourself algebra was very difficult. So I opted to take the math test. I used Petersons CLEP 9th edition study guide and also the book 'Thinking Mathematically'. The book really helped me out. I felt a lot more confident after taking this test than I did for the algebra test. Also the questions here at IC were a great source to verify what I had learned with the study aids I used. College Mathematics Advice - Levi - 03-19-2009 If you can borrow or buy the Comex guide and learn everything in there, then you should pass with flying colors - no matter how long ago you last took a math class! I'm not sure about the IC flashcards, because I did not use them for this test. Happy testing!
