I need a something to fullfill a humanities/fine arts requirement and the only clep I see besides a foreign language is either humanities, american lit or english lit. Which of these three do you think would be the easiest? My test is scheduled for February 2nd. I dont really have experience with any of them so i guess whichever one has study material available that is on the test would be the best one? I've heard humanities is very broad which could be a good thing or bad thing especially in terms of knowing what to study. For those of you who've taken these cleps or classes please give me some insight. Thanks!!!

I would recommend the Humanities CLEP. I haven't taken the others, but the Humanities exam is very doable. Yes, it is quite broad, but the IC flashcards are a great and cover most everything. Let us know what you decide! Smile

How about Analyzing & Interpreting Literature? It's a breeze.

Thanks for the info guys. Based on the list of classes I can choose from at my school, it doesnt look like A&I literature is an option. I'll call them and find out but Id rather go with something that is an actual class they offer so that they cant come back in the end an say it wont count. Theyve done that to me before with an online class I took. I fought forever and finally did get them to accept it but I dont want to go through that again. I was leaning towards American lit since it seemed a little more specific but after hearing that IC covers most of what is on the humanities I think I'll go with that. Unless anyone else wants to put their 2 cents in??

I've found that test difficulty depends greatly on the individual. I scored way better on American Lit than I did on Humanities because I found it easier to study for. At the time I didn't know about instantcert which could have changed things. I don't want to make your decision harder, but figured I may as well share. Humanities is probably the way to go if instantcert covers it real well. You can't beat that.

Humanities it is!! Wish me luck. Oh and alot of people in the specific feedback section mentioned Comex. What exactly is that? How do you find it, how much is it and is it worth it? Some were from pretty old post. Thanks.
