General Anthropology - Candace - 07-14-2006 I just got back from taking the DSST general anthropology exam - this is the 7th DSST exam I have taken (I used Instantcert for all except History of Vietnam War). I found that there were many areas covered in the exam that were not covered in the flash cards. Especially the breakdown between Australophithecines, Homo erectus, Homo habilis, Homo sapiens (neanderthalensis and sapiens). Additionally, there were several questions on Central and South American civilizations that I was unprepared for. Just an FYI for anyone else considering taking this one. Regardless, I'm hopeful that I passed! General Anthropology - snazzlefrag - 09-06-2006 Hi All, Does anyone else have any feedback on, or experience with, this exam? I am taking it on Friday morning. Anyone? General Anthropology - yutzyj - 09-06-2006 good luck on Friday, Snazzlefrag. I'll send good karma your way. I'm amazed at how you just keep cranking them out. General Anthropology - snazzlefrag - 09-08-2006 Hi All, I took the DANTES General Anthropology exam today. I think it went quite well, and I am pretty sure I passed it. I didn't think it was TOO hard an exam. Definitely harder than CLEP Sociology, but not as hard as DANTES Intro to World Religions. As usual with DANTES, there were quite a few questions that I didn't know the answer to. But I am hoping that I was able to correctly answer enough questions to pass. Only time will tell! Resources: Instantcert (very good for this exam). But also the Mayans and Hindus, I think. Sounds like a fun exam. Or at least a lot more fun than Macro/Micro! I'm sure you did well. Librevore General Anthropology - snazzlefrag - 09-25-2006 Hi All, I got my score for General Anthropology today. I got a 68. I would recommend this exam if you are in need of some extra social science elective credits. Also, if you are a Psychology or Sociology major, Anthropology is an excellent choice to supplement your major course of studies. Instantcert and various searches on Wikipedia did the trick for me. Snazz, congratulations again! I still can't believe you knocked out 14 tests in something like two weeks and I'm betting that you passed them all. Makes my head spin. I wouldn't recommend that others do what I did. My brain feels like a fried egg at the moment. I was pretty much rocking back and forth in my chair, sucking my thumb, and dribbling onto the keyboard during my last two exams. I only did it because I was on a deadline to get them all done. I am very nervous about the last two exams I took (Money & Banking, and Modern Middle East). But I did my best, and we'll have to just wait and see whether the DANTES Fairy grants my wish. hilarious There's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home, Snazzlefrag General Anthropology - Kiwi Lover - 09-25-2006 snazzlefrag Wrote:But I did my best, and we'll have to just wait and see whether the DANTES Fairy grants my wish. Well Snazz....did you leave the regular "bribe" under your pillow like you did for all the rest????
