Anyone know of any schools that except a score of.... - ImRaddDuhhh - 11-14-2008 46 on the Biology CLEP?? Anyone know of any schools that except a score of.... - lrgaul - 11-14-2008 Hi there! I do not know of any school that will accept a score of 46 on the Biology CLEP. I noticed, from your signature, that you are hoping to go to medical school. To be completely honest, in your case, I wouldn't spend time trying to find a school that will accept it either. The reason is because medical school admissions are extremely competitive, and the science grades are among the most important. It might be a good idea to consider CLEPping out of different subjects so that you can hold exclusively graded science credits. I am certainly no expert at this. I just wanted to drop a little food for thought. Good luck! If you want to try something really cool, Harvard has an open enrollment certificate program for people trying to get their block of science courses for med school. It's on campus, but if you do it, they even give you a nice letter of recommendation. One down side- they DON'T let you do it if you have taken science classes for college credit anywhere else. Welcome to Harvard University go into "continuing education" tab. Anyone know of any schools that except a score of.... - ImRaddDuhhh - 11-15-2008 that sounds really cool actually. Do I need a B.A. first? Their server is down right now, so I couldn't get much info. Anyone know of any schools that except a score of.... - ImRaddDuhhh - 11-15-2008 I see that you do need a Bachelor's first. I was wondering what online schools can get me a B.A. in not too long, but also accept my CLEP scores for Spanish and English comp (no essay) Anyone know of any schools that except a score of.... - ImRaddDuhhh - 11-15-2008 cookderosa Wrote:>> I really want to thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have come up with a plan for the next year or so. I am going to take several (22 to be exact) CLEP/DSST exams to have the credits transfer to TESC. Afterward, I will take the remaining credits I need with them. I will be done before the end of next term. After that I will go to the Harvard Summer school, and finally to the Harvard Extension School for 2 semesters. First, Harvard shuts down the server every night- so just heads up on that. Next, TESC will give you 12 credits for your Spanish CLEP, that's an awesome score. So, you also have your English done and your knocking out FEMAs. Your on your way. Summer session might be hard for 2 reasons- first, TESC makes applying for graduation a marathon event. You need to file early, and I think you'll miss the deadline. TESC has a way of building in MONTHS to a simple process. BUT, summer session is more $ than full spring/fall sessions, so you can save a few hundred dollars per class. Also, you'll have time to apply for financial aid! I'd suggest looking at either TESC's Liberal Studies, Social Sciences, or Humanities. Any of those are the broad plans that allow major flexibility (but not Natural Sciences- you can't take those if you want to go to Harvard). I know for a fact you can test 100% out of Liberal Studies or Social Science- not sure about Humanities. Don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure all of the "majors" at TESC will require at least one course, so again, I'd suggest either Liberal Studies (or is it called liberal arts?) or Social Science. You should have no trouble doing this in 6 months if you hit the books and set a brisk testing pace. Please keep me posted, I would love to hear how it's going. Also, I would love to talk to someone who does the health certificate program- I'm trying to nudge my son in that direction, but he isn't too interested LOL. As far as I can recall from searches, I don't think anyone here has went on to med school yet (law school yes) so that would be AWESOME!
