Last Test Scheduled - 30 year degree plan - 11-07-2008

OK, I chickened out today on taking the College Mathematics CLEP. I moved my test date from today to Monday, to get another weekend of study in.

I am getting around 50% on the Petersen's exams and a little higher than that on the REA exams. Obviously this is not a comfortable margin to actually take the test. The complex problems in both practice programs seem to be much more frequent than what is listed on the College Board info sheet.

I have read through the exam specific feedback, but was wondering if anybody has taken this recently using the same practice exams. If so, what is a good benchmark?

This is the last test to complete my degree plan and I am anything but confident in complex math. I guess I'll find out on Monday if I'm a grad or a math student in a traditional class.

I took it about 2 months ago. I took all three Peterson's tests and scored between 44-48 on all 3 and then scored a 59 or 62 on the actual exam. My exam was a touch easier than the practice tests.

Good Luck!!!!

The exam I took last month was some easier than the practice test. I agonized over this test for 2 months and finally decided I had had enough and just took it. It was such a relief to walk out with a 59, my 6 credits, and math behind me. I took the day off before my exam and studied all day. Take out your 1 weakest area and try not to worry too muchabout it, focus on what you know you can learn - if that makes sense. Good luck.

This should give you a positive attitude. I would start the Peterson's exams and get fed up with them and quit them. I just studied the REA book and Algebra in 20 minutes a day which I read through once in about an hour and 1/2. I was planning on studying for another week and just spur of the moment went and took it. I passed with a 57. The test uses VERY simple small numbers, there wasn't anything very difficult on it.
