Upper Level Advice - MagicATC - 07-04-2006 I am trying to figure what is the best recommendation for Upper Level credits. I have 21 Uppers left for my degree and not sure what will be best to start. I am doing this through Excelsior. Since this is a Liberal Arts degree, I have alot to choose from. Any subjects to stay away from? Any good enough from IC study alone? I am fairly new to the CLEP thing. Wish I knew about it sooner. Thanks! MagicATC, I can personally vouch for the following UL exams: DANTES Civil War & Reconstruction DANTES Rise & Fall of the Soviet Union DANTES Management Information Systems DANTES Drug & Alcohol Abuse DANTES Principles of Finance (on the hard side, but doable) Instantcert is excellent for all of the above. You will also find lots of member feedback and advice, and links to additional web resources for all of the above exams, right here on the forum. Also, the following exams have been mentioned as being very passable using Instantcert. ECE Ethics: Theory & Practice ECE Organizational Behavior All the above exams would equal your needed 21 credits. ECE World Population is also mentioned often as being one of the easiest Upper Level ECE exams. But there is no Instantcert section for this exam. Good luck, Snazzlefrag Upper Level Advice - ShotoJuku - 07-04-2006 MagicATC Wrote:I am trying to figure what is the best recommendation for Upper Level credits. Keep one other VERY IMPORTANT thing in mind - Not all UL credits may be applicable to either your major or minor and it is BEST to have ALL classes and exams APPROVED FIRST by your academic advisor. GOOD LUCK!! Upper Level Advice - MagicATC - 07-04-2006 Thanks. You all sound like pros. Looks like most of these are on my approved list from ECE. I'll let you all know how it goes as I do them. Upper Level Advice - ShotoJuku - 07-04-2006 MagicATC Wrote:Thanks. You all sound like pros. Looks like most of these are on my approved list from ECE. My list I've made to complete them: DSST: Civil War Drug and Alcohol MIS ECE: Org Behavior Ethics World Conflicts World Population So far, Civil War was the most difficult, but I passed using only instant cert. Drug& Alcohol, Org Behavior, and Ethics are all passable using only instant cert. I haven't taken MIS and World Pop yet, but everyone here has reported they're pretty easy exams. World Conflicts I've heard nothing about, but it seems fairly straightforward in the study guide and easy to look up. Good luck! |
