CLEP and the old ACE grading system - housemzk - 10-08-2008

Back in the late 90's I took cleps while in the military and passed with scores in the 40's. In 2001 ACE recommended a uniform grading of 50 for most tests.

In July I had Prometric provide me with an official copy of my transcript and it shows that I still passed, but its based off the old ACE recommendation at the time of test.

Does anybody know if my old scores are valid? Has anybody experienced this??

I'm wondering if any colleges will accept the old scores...

My understanding is that CLEP scores are good for 20 yrs. If you have a passing score, I would think any college that accepts CLEP for the exam will accept yours. I'd suggest you check with your college of choice prior to enrollment.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.
