Coursera IBM Generative AI for Software Developers Specialization - jazzcat - 08-20-2026 Coursera IBM Generative AI for Software Developers Specialization as of July 2026 TESU credits issued: CIS-2510 CLD-1100 COS-2050 ITS-1500 ITS-1600 Nothing upper level, unfortunately. Was hoping for CIS-3510. I don't see this one listed in Acenet, though there are two similarly titled courses with different suggested transfer credits. Any feedback for the course? CompTIA certifications aren't listed on Acenet either, yet a lot of colleges give credit for these certifications. Maybe they see IBM as similar to CompTIA at TESU or something? I'm not sure what's going on. Someone could ask TESU advising to clarify this. The nice thing about these Coursera certificates is that they're relatively cheap and easy to get, and they're often worth multiple equivalent courses. RE: Coursera IBM Generative AI for Software Developers Specialization - bjcheung77 - 08-21-2026 Maybe there are overlapping content with existing Coursera programs that have ACE recommendation for college credit, it's a good thing that they're granting credit for lower level credits for classes or ones that can be used as electives. I love the fact that TESU accepts so many ACE credits and that ACE recommends so many professional certs between Google and IBM with a nice mixture of UL and LL credits. This in conjunction with TESU's generous transfer credit policy makes obtaining the CS and CIS degrees respectfully even easier. That, and tagging on both the associates in CS and Math makes for a bountiful harvest! I don't have specific comments or criticisms. You get out what you put into it. If you wanna click through it, go ahead, but the material is a good read. Some of it will overlap with previous intro level certs or courses, so it's usefulness is limited, as in my case where I have much experience. Even then I still find some useful points to understand. Particularly if you're looking for an intro into AI and related topics, or if you need to fill any course credit gaps, then it's worth completing. Considering how many of these Coursera offerings I've completed, this one went very smoothly.(08-20-2026, 11:25 AM)jazzcat Wrote: Coursera IBM Generative AI for Software Developers Specialization Yes, it was peculiar to get credits for it without it being in Acenet, but no complaints from me. |
