Hi all, I'm aiming for the BLS and I would like to finish in 2 terms. I have the Pierpont AAS and all of my credits are below.
I'm not sure if I should start the program now, or get my more credits first. Thanks in advance.

RE: BLS Degree Plan Help - LevelUP - 07-08-2026

Considering you got all or nearly all your general education done, I could go ahead and apply to UMPI.

clj626, please also do me a favor and get an evaluation for both the BAS and BLS, with the minor or minors of your choice. I want to see what changes have been made. You can easily get that from your academic advisor or success coach once you've been admitted and finalized for starting the session/term. My suggestion is the BAS as it's ever slightly easier/faster to complete due to minor difference in requirements...

Thank you for the BAS suggestion BJ, I didn't realize the difference in requirements. I will get the evaluation for both the BAS and BLS and follow up.

What was the major for your AAS? Just having an AAS doesn't meet admission for the BAS. They're very specific technical requirements for it.

It's the Pierpont Board of Governors AAS. Does that meet the requirements?

What was the major? AAS is the degree not the major. And UMPI has specific requirements such as a technical major like IT. Just having an AAS is not acceptable. I have an AAS in Business Administration and was denied admission to the BAS because Bus Admin isn't technical.

Thanks for explaining. I did not select a specific major. The Board of Governors AAS at Pierpont doesn't require a major, or it didn't at the time.
