What are the easiest and maybe fastest online colleges for a bachelor's in coding? - whiverem - 05-05-2026

What are the easiest online colleges, and maybe fast or fastest, for a 2nd bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or software development, or something else that'll let you get a remote software engineer (backend of full stack) or frontend developer job?

Ideally doesn't have any group work (discussion posts are okay) and no proctored tests.

And maybe you can bring me a lot of credits from Sophia, Study.com, and stuff like that, and finish in 3 semesters (including summer) or less, while working full time, easily. Though thes fastest you can finish the better.

Thank you for your help.

You could do TESU for a 2nd B.A. in Computer Science and only do the cornerstone and capstone (if you have 15? residency credits there). There's a wiki here for this specifically

The cornerstone requirement is waived for a second bachelor’s degree!

You will need the capstone, and either 15 residency credits (the capstone plus 12 other credits) or the Edison Accelerate Fee (the residency waiver fee) of $3,400.

WGU has the potential to be much faster and slightly less expensive, but only if you're already very strong in all the subjects, and there are multiple challenging exams, so it helps if you're a good test taker. I'll warn that the TESU liberal arts capstone was by far my worst course out of all my degrees, although others have had a much better experience. Either way, TESU is still a great option.
