[Updated] Free WGU Degree Planning Tool - Gneza - 04-16-2026

I previously posted about a tool that I created that automatically maps out transfer pathways from Study, Sophia, Saylor, and Straighterline to WGU.

For those that aren't already aware of this tool, it aggregates the data from WGU in real time every time you generate a new plan... So you'll never have to worry about outdated spreadsheets, etc.

It also lists detailed transfer requirements that the transcript evaluators use, so you know exactly what other external certifications or classes transfer.

In this update, I completely rewrote the tool to provide a better user experience. Previously, I allowed plans to be locally stored and had an data import/export system that was unreliable at times. The feature still exists, but migrating from a local plan to a cloud plan is a much smoother process now (no manual data exporting, etc).

You're also now able to export your plans as a spreadsheet, change the primary pathway you want to use, and much more.

The tool now allows you to also choose whether or not you want to see transfer pathways for external certifications other than the big four.

I’m looking for feedback! What other features would help you accelerate even faster?

Wouldn't it just be easier to submit your transcripts to WGU and see what courses you need, double check against the wiki, knock out those courses, and full speed ahead towards the remaining 30 credits?
