Spanish Clep - dsatexas - 09-01-2008 I've read all the posts i can find on the Spanish CLEP, but this is my first posting. I'm taking it in a couple of days and need to get the 62 to fulfill my degree requirements. If I could get some more feedback on your experiences it would be really helpful! For you guys who did well, how were your Peterson's scores going in to it? If the actual exam is harder it's not easy to gauge how prepared I am. I just finished the 2nd practice test and scored 87% (first one was higher but I replayed the audio portions without realizing you weren't supposed to). I hate to be that guy that shows up and starts asking questions before I've had a chance to contribute anything... but I hope to be able to soon. Thanks! Spanish Clep - collegeseniorclepper - 10-18-2008 Sorry, no one responded, Spanish isn't on IC... what did you use to study and how did you do? I took it cold not knowing what to expect. If you are a fluent Spanish speaker, and can read and understand it, there is no reason why you should not pass with over a 70 score. I speak Spanglish and don't know the correct or proper Spanish and I managed a 77 on the test. My wife scored an 80 on it. Half of the test consisted of listening to a recording and answering questions based on the conversation I'd hear, and the other was reading paragraphs in Spanish and answering the questions in English. Good Luck, Spanish Clep - mcakes - 10-20-2008 I took the test on Thursday. I only studied the Peterson tests. I got a 51, I did not make all the 12 but a good 6. Do not rely on perterson's test too much. What they allow you to do is look at the questions while the announcer is talking. On the real tests they will not allow you to see the questions until after the talking. My biggest problem was to remember everything that was said. I didn't ask if I could write down things, but I think that would help. Good Luck! By, the way, I might add I got that score with being sick with the flu! Mary |
