$100 1 credit Graduate Education courses from The Federal Reserve & Wichita State U - KaraStarbuck - 07-21-2025 My first find ever and I'm not sure how good it is. Federal Reserve Education, which is aimed at teachers, offers 5 or 6 self-paced 1 credit Graduate courses. While the courses are taken from the Fed via Canvas, you register for them through Wichita State University. Each course is 15 hours and your final grade will be transcripted at WSU. Each course costs $100. The registration for Fall 2025 is open from August 1 - August 19. The Fall term runs from August 19th-December 1st 2025. The available courses for fall are GDP - This course will cover key content about gross domestic product (GDP), including what it measures, how it is measured, and how well it serves as an indicator for the health of an economy and the well-being of its citizens. [*]The Federal Reserve & Monetary Policy - This course will cover key content about the Federal Reserve System and how the Fed conducts monetary policy to achieve the goals set for it by Congress -- price stability and maximum employment. [*]Unemployment - This course will cover key content about unemployment, how it is measured, types of unemployment, and current unemployment data and trends. Inflation - This course will cover key content about inflation, including how it is measured, how it affects savers and borrowers, and why the Fed targets a low and stable rate of inflation. [*]Market Structures - No Decsription current available. The help doc is from the Spring when they offered an additional course called Teaching Economics of Trade. RE: $100 1 credit Graduate Education courses from The Federal Reserve & Wichita State U - Jonathan Whatley - 07-21-2025 $100 per graduate credit is great if all else works! Wichita State University uses the semester hour system as opposed to quarter hour, also good news. It would help to find out what the credit looks like on a Wichita State University transcript. If it indicates Wichita State University is originating the credit, that's good. If it looks like Wichita State University accepting transfer credit, that could limit its transferability elsewhere. If it indicates it's something like "professional development" credit, that could limit its transferability elsewhere. The big market for courses like this is for teachers to demonstrate professional development. The requirements for that market are generally less than the requirements for credit transferable to a degree program. RE: $100 1 credit Graduate Education courses from The Federal Reserve & Wichita State U - tesu-acct-student - 07-24-2025 Really interesting find for grad level. Plus they appear to be transcribed as Econ courses, not Ed courses. $100 1 credit Graduate Education courses from The Federal Reserve & Wichita State U - NotJoeBiden - 07-24-2025 I contacted them and they confirmed they were open to anyone for enrollment and were completely asynchronous. That's great stuff! If someone can finish all 5 or 6, I wonder what institution would take these credit and towards what degree... Anyways, it's great for graduate credit!
