Amazon Career Choice TESU - bibimbopgrl98 - 03-15-2025 Hello! I hope you all are well today. I am considering going to Thomas Edison University online. I am a NJ resident, and I am also using Amazon career choice voucher, is anyone else using it too? My job gives me $5250 a year, no lifetime maximum. Will this cover me for the year at TESU with no credit transfers? How many terms do you have to do? Only looking to do 6 credits a term, 2 classes is well enough while working full time at the warehouse lol. I qualified for the Pell grant at $4601 but I don’t think I can do 12 credits(considered full time at TESU iirc), so would I be getting the less than 4601? Just trying to not go into college debt, I declined the loans. Looking to go into HR management bachelors degree by the way. Thanks! RE: Amazon Career Choice TESU - Vle045 - 03-15-2025 Congratulations on starting your journey. Take advantage of the opportunity they provide. It looks like that amount will cover about 15 credits a year. So going part time should work out great. https://www.tesu.edu/corporate-partners/partners/amazon/index.php Just find a balance that works for you. I wish I got $5250 a year. I’d be done by now. I only get $1500 a year from my work, so I am going super slow. I am sure someone more knowledgeable about TESU will come along. I just wanted to share some encouragement. ![]() RE: Amazon Career Choice TESU - jg_nuy - 03-15-2025 Here are the links to the Wiki degree plans: General education: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sample_TESU_General_Education_Requirements_Roadmap Business Core: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sample_TESU_Business_Core_Roadmap HR/Organizational Leadership https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sample_TESU_BSBA_HR/Organizational_Management_Degree_Plan Other degrees: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:TESU This page has the tuition details by credit: https://www.tesu.edu/tuition-financial-aid/tuition-fees/undergraduate-comparison.php Financial aid handbook: https://www.tesu.edu/tuition-financial-aid/financial-aid/_media/_files/Financial_Aid_Handbook.pdf RE: Amazon Career Choice TESU - bjcheung77 - 03-15-2025 Welcome to the board, great questions, but you're not providing much details at all, you should fill in the addendum and template to give us a complete picture of your scenario. I have a few questions as I’m enrolling into TESU part time, taking 6 credits. My job gives me a $5250 voucher for college every year and it reloads every January. How many terms am I required to take at TESU? Am I allowed to take two terms until January? Realistically I can only pay for 2 terms until my voucher renews in January. I am taking the April 2025 term, taking two classes. I was awarded $2305 for my 2024/2025 Pell grant, but I was only awarded $700 for my 2025/2026, which sucks because I really could of used the Pell grant for the next term which would use 25/26. Thankfully my April term will use $1153 from my Pell grant, to drop my bill to $947 then my job voucher can help. My total bill for two classes a term without aid is $2100. If I did the math right, I can take two terms and use my $5250 voucher to pay for it both. |
