I used a lot of the resources you get when you google, U.S goverment clep reddit. Adam norris was by far the most helpful, same with the quizlets, Im not sure why everyone hyped up modern states so much because I didnt really click with it at all. Im sure its useful for the voucher though but I didnt wanna go through with all that work. Know about PACS, Pluralism, Political behavior through demographics and there history, basic history on the documents, know why they were written, enlightenment john locke stuff, you need a strong foundation and youll be good. I also used lots of chat gpt, if you have hyper specific questions, its very good for learning in accessory.
I am so estatic i passed, I was so scared. 2 more to get into my dream college. I am a little seasick thinking about the accounting and biology exam I have to complete next...

The test was easier then I thought, the difficulty is in the wording of the questions. I studied so much I knew top to bottom and they made the most basic terms I knew easily, very confusing. I tried to just breathe through them and imagine i was doing a practice exam.

- Overall Quizlet - this one was also good and had information from a bunch of different places compiled like it had the different Articles, some important cases, the thinkers, etc. Link: https://quizlet.com/89064488/clep-american-government-practice-test-flash-cards/
- Court Case Quizlet - this summed up the important court cases very well. Most of them didn't appear on the CLEP exam (and some random, lesser-known ones did) but it's still good to know nonetheless. Link: https://quizlet.com/27546487/major-court-cases-american-government-clep-flash-cards/
- Amendments Quizlet - this was good to fill in any blanks you may have in amendment knowledge. It's short and to the point which is useful. If you're really struggling with amendments, try to use the Matching Game feature of Quizlet until you've mastered most. It's definitely not necessary to know all amendments to pass though. Not to brag, but I passed the American Government CLEP with a score of 68 after 15 total hours of studying, which included going through the ModernStates course.
The military pass rate on this exam is only 24%, and I think what trips up a lot of people is all the political material you need to learn, such as how different groups of people vote.
I used a combination of:
- InstantCert
- ModernStates (you can speedrun most of these courses in 4hr or less)
- Peterson AP Study Guide & Practice Tests
- Quizlet
If you study efficiently, you can pass most of these CLEP exams in 20 hours or less.
