Rate this degree plan in Organizational Leadership - njdadof3 - 12-12-2024 Your Location: NJ Your Age: 43 What kind of degree do you want?: BS in either Organizational Leadership or General Management are probably my best options Current Regional Accredited Credits: 30 total Camden County Community College: Administration of Justice - 3 Criminal Law - 3 Physical Conditioning/Police Academy - 3 Emergency Response - 6 Atlantic Cape Community College: Intro to Criminal Justice - 3 Police Administration - 3 Composition I - 3 Signed English - 3 US History II - 3 Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: 0, possibly 6 Any certifications or military experience?: NJ State Association of Chiefs of Police Command & Leadership Academy. States it is an approved ACE course, but doesn't say how many credits. Other similar courses say 6 UL Organizational Leadership credits, which is why I stated "possibly 6" to the previous question. Budget: $5K, if possible Commitments: Full-time job with commute. Also 3 kids and a wife, though my wife is committed to seeing me graduate quickly. Dedicated time to study: As much as possible, including commute time. Timeline: ASAP. My job is slowly killing me. Tuition assistance/reimbursement: None I've been reading this forum for a few days. I think I understand the concept of piecing together a degree. Please let me know if I'm understanding this correctly. First, I should do my online work like Sophia, Study.com, Davar, Coursera. Then I should enroll in TESU. Maybe just sign up for the 1 credit TECEP, even if I never take it. That entitles me to (unlimited?) transcript evaluations. I absolutely need to do the cornerstone (is this the Information Literacy?) and the capstone at TESU. If I don't do a minimum of 15 credits at TESU, I'm charged a fee, so it makes sense to just take the 15 credits there. E-packs satisfy that requirement. Once my transcript has been evaluated, then do my semester at TESU so I absolutely know what is required of me to graduate. Is all of that correct? You've got most of the info you need, but you really should change that BSOL to BSBA for several reasons I've mentioned before. BSBA has ACBSP programmatic/secondary accreditation and easier transfer credits using the ACE/NCCRS classes, you can decide on the AOS such as Operations Management instead, you have enough RA for max transfer and need to complete the 15 residency credits using the flat rate. Apply, send all transcripts, wait for evaluation... while waiting, create a spreadsheet once you have all that info, then link us to your Google/One drive, make the file viewable (not editable) and we can give comments on what recommendations we have. |
