UMPI----AA----ETC???? - midnite123 - 10-20-2024 Hi, Now that Pierpont has changed, I wanted to verify a few things. 1--Do you definitely get an Associate degree from UNPI, as you are fulfilling the requirements for the BA degree? 2--Is there any downside to applying, and transferring credits to UMPI, before you have the full 90 credits? I would transfer in over 50 credits, and then finish around 40 more at Sophia. THANK YOU!!!! RE: UMPI----AA----ETC???? - ss20ts - 10-20-2024 Associate degrees technically are not offered in YourPace at UMPI. You can add one to your degree plan, but you will graduate with both degrees at the same time. I would not apply to UMPI until you're almost done with your Sophia credits. You will want to dedicate your time to your UMPI courses and not have to go back and forth between the 2. RE: UMPI----AA----ETC???? - bjcheung77 - 10-21-2024 Basically, I would follow the recommendations of getting your max transfer credits completed first, once you have 90+ credits (even though 90 will go into the UMPI degree), you can use the other credits for things such as the balanced mix/match trifecta of certs, degree, experience or towards extra learning. Apply to UMPI when you've got all you can with Coursera, Sophia.org, Study.com, whatever else you're looking at... When your evaluation is complete, you'll know what remaining classes are needed. I would look at the UMPI WIKI for general education and specific degree plans, so you can get all of those requirements done before starting UMPI. |
