BOG AAS commencement? - um2023 - 08-06-2024 Many users have obtained AAS BOG degrees. For those who have, have any of you participated (walked across the stage) in a commencement ceremony? BOG AAS commencement? - jch - 08-07-2024 I thought about participating when I graduated earlier in the year, but ultimately decided not to do so. Despite Pierpont being in an out-of-the-way area of West Virginia, there is a nearby airport with airline service from American Airlines partner Contour, making the idea logistically feasible. Flights, hotel, and ground transport would have added up to almost $1000, which I decided wasn't worth the expense. RE: BOG AAS commencement? - staceydiane - 08-12-2024 I graduated in December and walked across the stage in May. I am SO glad that I participated in the graduation. I could meet some folks who knew about DegreeForum and I also talked to my fellow graduates about where they're going now. I also got to meet Nancy and Lisa, which was awesome. Nancy let us add our area of emphasis when we walked across the stage, which was really nice. There was a little buffet before the graduation for us, and that was cool. In the graduation program, they listed all the graduates by major, and there were a LOT of BOG folks. It seems to be one of the bigger programs at the college! FYI: When I enrolled at Pierpont, I was living in New Jersey; however, my family and I moved to West Virginia for completely unrelated reasons. Now that I graduated from Pierpont, I'm in school at TESU (in NJ) which is funny to me. I had to drive about three hours from my house to Clarksburg for the graduation. |
