Transferring additional credits after finishing my degree - SimpleDegree - 07-10-2024 Hi all, I recently graduated with MS in Accounting from FDU and I have BA in LA from Excelsior, I want to take the CPA exam in NJ but need an additional 12 business credits. I took those credits from Davar but now I need to get them onto a transcript in order to be recognized by NASBA. FDU won't accept Davar credits and Excelsior doesn't allow One transcript use for former students. What would be my best (and cheapest) option for getting these credits on a transcript. (I see someone posted this link a while back does anyone know if it is dated? https://www.excelsior.edu/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Transcript_Update_Request_Form.pdf) RE: Transferring additional credits after finishing my degree - jg_nuy - 07-10-2024 TESU has an individual learning account service: https://www.tesu.edu/about/registrar/individual-learning-account This page has their Davar equivalency chart at the bottom: https://www.davaracademy.com/business.html RE: Transferring additional credits after finishing my degree - bjcheung77 - 07-10-2024 My suggestion is to do the following, apply to TESU, add the BS/BSBA Accounting (CPA track or not, it doesn't matter), transfer all your credits including the ones from FDU, Davar, and all your previous studies.... Instead of an ILAS... Pay for a transcript, do not finish the degree, if you get a TECEP scholarship for two exams, it's even better, you can try using those for 'business related' TECEPs to add to your credits. If you need to add more credits, you can take advantage of the Study.com discount as well (in my bio/sig), two upper level classes credit for just $75! Here's your previous post and me quoting you: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Quickest-Most-inexpensive-credit-banking?pid=423264#pid423264 RE: Transferring additional credits after finishing my degree - SimpleDegree - 07-11-2024 (07-10-2024, 11:58 PM)bjcheung77 Wrote: My suggestion is to do the following, apply to TESU, add the BS/BSBA Accounting (CPA track or not, it doesn't matter), transfer all your credits including the ones from FDU, Davar, and all your previous studies.... Do you know at what point the transcript will show all the transferred credits? Do I need to take any TECEPs or just register? RE: Transferring additional credits after finishing my degree - davewill - 07-11-2024 There was a recent post that claimed that you had to actually complete at least one course at TESU to get them to issue a transcript, but I don't remember whether that was corroborated. You can register for a TECEP, then try to get a transcript. If that fails, then go ahead and take it. |
