Using Edx MicroBachelors for Information Literacy - Frederico.Sandoval - 07-10-2024

Hi guys!

I am currently in the process of doing a double major at TESU for Computer Science and Mathematics. To fulfill the information literacy requirement, I was looking at the edx microbachelor's, but saw that it was only available for the computer science major. Will it be a problem in my case?

I am also open to the possibility of doing a bachelor in biology a few years from now, after I complete the double major. Will the microbachelor be valid in that case?

Thanks for the advice!

In short: Yes, you can use the EdX class, make sure to get the 'financial aid' to drop that to 90% off. For your first degree, the BACS/Math double major combo, you can use the EdX course to fulfill the requirement even though, it technically is for one degree. For your second degree, the BA Biology, you're exempt from the general education and electives, you will only need to hit the major requirements for the degree.
