BA Degree Planning Assistance - argaughan - 06-09-2024 Hello all, I’ve been lurking here for several years and finally have the time and resources to work on completing my degree. Would love your input on the best path forward. From reading everything here, I’m thinking that UMPI is likely my best option here. I have an AAS BOG in Info Systems from Pierpont. Looking to get my bachelor’s now. I work in Business Operations and would like a degree in any helpful discipline: Business Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, etc. I have experience in all these fields and think that they would all be equally helpful on my resume. I think whichever would be the smoothest path forward would be best. I appreciate any advice or suggestions you may have. Thank you! Your Location: California, United States. However, your addendum is too short and simple, there are no real info for me or readers to 'gauge' how easy or fast you can get things done with that provided. It's good to have a bit more details than "ASAP" and no specific hours a day, with the limited info, you may be best off going for the degree you're looking at, UMPI BABA PM & IS concentration, it will hit all the spots you're looking at... It will all depend on how easy and well you go through the required classes from Sophia.org, Study.com, and UMPI for the residency credits... I indicated that I'm able to commit several hours/day, is there something more specific you are looking for in terms of additional details? RE: BA Degree Planning Assistance - bjcheung77 - 06-09-2024 Basically, again, for the time being, you should continue with UMPI BABA PM & IS... For me, I'd like to gauge the timeframe you have dedicated to your studies, there are no concrete numbers with the word "several". Here's an example, you put 3 hours weekdays (15), 2 hours each night for the weekends (4), in total that's 19 hours/week. That differs drastically to one who indicates they have 4 hours each weekday (20) and 10/each day for weekends (20). That's 19 vs 40 hours, you will get through competency based degree options with the second answer, if you gave an answer closer to 19-20 hours, I would recommend also investigating not only UMPI, but TESU and maybe other options as well... |
