SDC Premium Edition - Would this work? - legenwait4itdary - 06-05-2024

Hello,

I will be traveling in July and while I will have time to do some studying, I will not have time and place to take the final exam.

I was thinking about getting the Premium Edition for July, completing all the quizzes and assignments and then switching to the College Saver subscription and taking all the Final Exams.

Would something like this work? Will my progress be saved? Will I see all the assignments? (I understand I will not be able to submit them for grading but at least I can have them completed and submit then on the first day I switch to the College Saver subscription submit them for grading.

Thank you!

Yes this works and has been done by many folks. Keep in mind that there is a limit of two exams in the college saver subscription per month, you can pay $70 per exam for up to three more exams in a given month.

Yes, I am aware of the limits on the exams. As long as my progress is saved and I do some work in July, I do not mind about the extra cost (I might only be able to do one course in August anyways.

Regarding the assignments - will I still be able to see what they are so I can work on them in July and submit in August?

Wait, do you have a subscription already? I'm confused why you would even want a subscription if you're not using it... Use the "pause" membership feature instead, you can pause from 1 up to 3 months if needed. You can then pay the membership when you get back and not waste cash on membership when you're not using it!

I want to do some studying and get some of the quizzes out of the way. So when I switch to the College Saver subscription in August all I have to do is take the finals. As I said, I will have time to do some studying in July, I just won't be able to do the finals.

Cool, I understand... Whenever I go travelling, I can't study, it's just me... Even though I bring the travel laptop and tablet with me, I tell myself to relax and get other things done or spend time with kids/family and not use the electronic devices unless I absolutely need to. I'm a serious person and stress easily, so, to lessen the anxiety I get, I try to relax without the electronics the best I can.

I totally get it. My situation is a bit different. I work in another country and travel to my home during my time off. However, my family members only get a couple of weeks off so I usually have plenty of time to do stuff. Even if I can do only a couple of weeks of study it will bring me closer to my degree (and the cost is relatively low). It also means I will have less work to do in August and September and I expect them to be quite busy at work.
