Pierpont BOG AAS - achraf15 - 05-28-2024

Hello everyone,
I would like some help with my degree plans for Pierpont BOG AAS and UMPI BA accounting. I studied engineering in Hokkaido University in Japan for a few years but wasn't able to graduate, so I'm trying to get my first bachelor's with UMPI and possibly do TESU BACS afterwards if everything goes well.
I've been reading on the forum for some time and I appreciate everyone sharing their advice and experiences. I would appreciate if the members can help me check if I'm doing everything right.
After reading on the forum that Pierpont now accepts international students, I applied to Pierpont for summer 2024 graduation. I sent them the evaluation of my foreign university transcript and I have received my student email and account. I'm currently working on Google IT Support certificate to satisfy the Information Systems AoE. I think I have the natural science requirement satisfied already, and still need communications, social sciences and computer literacy.
I applied to UMPI in February for Summer 2 start and sent them my Duolingo English Test results this month. IEE just completed my university and high school evaluation a few days ago and sent it to UMPI.
I'm going to start doing Sophia to transfer to Pierpont and UMPI.

RE: Pierpont BOG AAS - bjcheung77 - 05-28-2024

Welcome to the board, great initial post with the addendum and template details! I suggest you complete the Pierpont BOG AAS and then ladder to the UMPI pretty much like you mentioned. I would create a spreadsheet to keep reference and track your progress that way as well, you can always share the link to your one or google drive, make the file viewable and not editable. We can comment on the degree plan and see if there are any recommendations or something...

BTW, why UMPI Accounting instead of any other option they have and then why TESU BACS? What were you looking to complete in Japan, which engineering degree again, was there a specific engineering option you selected? Do you have specific goals after the undergrad, such as which grad programs you're looking at? It's great you've got the ball rolling, just looking ahead towards what you're looking for sooner or later...

Thank you for replying!
I decided to study accounting because the career path seems stable, but I remain interested in technology and IT so I will take some courses to see if it would work out for me.
I need to earn a bachelor's degree for as cheap as possible so I settled on UMPI for the best value.
I studied mechanical engineering in Japan but lost interest in the subject and haven't earned my degree there, so I am trying to make up for the lost time.
