Got this email for 2 free TECEP exams for June term.

Please note: this scholarship can only be used for the tuition cost of up to two (2) general education TECEP exams in this term and is nonrefundable and nontransferable. Financial responsibility for any other courses registered outside of TECEP exams will be the financial responsibility of the student.
And there is another email that was intended for new enrollment along with an application waiver code.

I'm a new student with some prior college and no degree, and I also received both of these emails today, so I used the form to sign up for two TECEPS. Shortly after, I got an email saying the first emails had been a mistake and to disregard them. How generous of them.... it sucks because I'm low-income so this TECEP "scholarship" would really help.

Interesting enough, I was sent a similar email a few days ago. Different wording but same concept ....scholarship for two free teceps for June term. TESU was really aggressive about getting me to sign up for this...calls, voicemails, email etc. I recently applied and had my transcripts evaluated but had yet to declare a major, commit to a plan, etc. I suspect they target these emails at people they are trying to push off the ledge so to speak.

I signed up for this for the July term and then I forgot about it. TESU called me back and said since I am registered for 4 classes already, I can do one TECEP so I don't screw up maximizing my financial aid.

4 classes (12 credits) is what you need to be considered full-time for financial aid, the TECEP pushes you to 15 credits (and more than that can push you to have extra courses fees because 15 is generally the max full-time credit load at TESU). TECEPs don't impact your GPA with is good (even if you fail), but I would recommend something that you feel confident in passing. Remember it is better to fail a TECEP than fail (or do poorly) in a course, especially since a passed TECEP is just 'extra credits' earned over your required full-time course load.

Yeah, that's what they told me. They've been super helpful to me.
I decided to take the Nutrition TECEP because I am confident that I can pass it. I'm a health/nutrition geek anyway.
