I am not sure of any truly cheap options. Do you have a community college in your area? I think we have one here that is pretty cheap for residents. When I got mine way back in 2001, I went to my local college but got a baccalaureate scholarship. They gave a discount on undergraduate certificates for people who already had a bachelor’s degree.
You could see if you can transfer LawShelf courses to the certificate at National Paralegal College. I know they transfer in to their bachelor’s degree, so maybe you can save money by maxing out the available LawShelf courses then finishing up the certificate at NPC. I haven’t tried to map it out so I don’t know the final cost. Since I am a LawShelf affiliate, I have had some contact with them and they have all been really nice over there. If you decide to go that route, my affiliate code (in my signature) should get you an extra course for free when you buy one.

The Center for Legal Studies offers paralegal courses with credentials awarded by partner schools which are non-credit divisions of various universities, colleges, community colleges, and adult education programs. Check tuition via each partner school.
Blackstone Career Institute, a DEAC-accredited non-degree provider, offers a Legal Assistant/Paralegal Career Training Program for $1214; payment plans are available.
