I'm genuinely curious. Their privacy policy doesn't say anything about tracking sites but I'm not tech savvy and unsure how that works. And don't come at me to argue, it's just a question.

They know if you've been looking up answers on CourseHero or Chegg, and they'll ban your account and report you to the National Student Clearinghouse and beat up your dog.  Tongue

Aside from the beating up your dog part, are you serious? I figured that's how ppl get banned.

I don't think Sophia tracks anything like that.

You need some software installed to track someone across websites. Or a setup like Google where they can track you with the ads, etc.

Since Sophia doesn't require software installed to use Sophia, it's pretty much impossible for them to track you.

There is a way for a website to track mouse position through the browser, and technically, they could flag suspicious activity, but I haven't heard of any website doing this.

Interesting question... Sophia.org doesn't track the sites you have visited, they basically use Biometric/IP logging for their own purposes of non invasive proctoring... Having said that... Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) will have access to sites you've visited for their own reference and tracking purposes, even if you clear your cookies, history, or gone into InCognito or InPrivate modes on Chrome and Edge...

Sophia.org will know what you're doing when connected to their site, the ISP will know what sites you've visited. References where I mentioned Sophia.org using Biometric/IP logging: My post #1: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-How-does-Sophia-org-work-What-s-the-not-graded-part-and-graded-part?pid=405060#pid405060  post #2: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-What-order-to-take-classes-in-using-Sophia?pid=401602#pid401602  post #3: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-LawShelf-com-Discussion?pid=357219#pid357219

No, I was just messing around. As far as I know they don't check what sites you've visited. Even if they did, it wouldn't necessarily prove anything. The student could have been on CourseHero or Chegg for some other class through a different school or education provider.

Isn't that what cookies do? Track your searches and sites visited? Where do those come in?
