UC Berkeley Extension courses can transfer - ItsNeverTheLionsYear - 02-29-2024 There are a bunch of posts from around a decade ago on this forum saying that UC Berkeley Extension courses will not transfer to TESU. This is no longer the case, at least for some courses. I just transferred over their Introduction to C course for 2 credits: https://extension.berkeley.edu/search/publicCourseSearchDetails.do?method=load&courseId=40911 TESU accepted it without any questions. I think they accepted it because it's marked for 2 "semester units" and not for CEUs. I'm sure the CEU courses would still fail to transfer since TESU has never accepted those. Berkeley X courses still have massive downsides, in that they're expensive, not title IV eligible (can't apply FAFSA or the GI bill to them) and only provide 2 credits for most courses, but it might help somebody in a pinch. RE: UC Berkeley Extension courses can transfer - rachel83az - 03-18-2024 Ouch, that is expensive! But there are definitely worse prices out there. RE: UC Berkeley Extension courses can transfer - davewill - 03-18-2024 This is pretty much the case for any university extension. You have to make sure that the courses you want to take earn academic credit and not just "extension", "professional", or "continuing education" credit. It is sometimes hard to tell that based on the website. |
