Defer enrollment - sammieJN - 01-27-2024

Hello,

Does anyone know the maximum duration we can defer our sessions? My last session was in August 2023, and I would like to postpone the next session until September of this year. I'm uncertain if this will go beyond the allowed timeframe for completion.

Invalid Credentials - sammieJN - 01-27-2024

Hello,

My last session ended in August 2023. I recently tried to log into my student account, but it displayed "Invalid credentials." Does anyone know why this might be happening?

It's great you're asking questions, just like you have been before, having said that, I've merged your threads as it's really related to the same thing... Please be patient and wait for a senior member or moderator to answer, as it does take time out of our day to volunteer to assist members. You don't need a few threads for the same type of questions...

Your password expired. You also do not have access to MaineStreet if you're not a student. Even graduates lose access. You'll need to contact YourPace admissions about deferring your enrollment. You may need to reapply because it's been so long.

Thank you! Jessica is out of office now, do you know other contact emails we connect with?

I usually do things in an orderly fashion and get more details from multiple teams, in your particular case, you may not have an assigned academic advisor, so you can try your previous one and see what they say.  Having said that, I would get in contact with admissions first and if they can't get you up and running with answers, then you can get in contact with your academic advisor.

Could you tell us what happened to your enrollment?  Did it lapse?  Here are the people I get in contact with, for admissions, Leah and for advising, Jessica.  Coincidentally, they're both at the bottom of the list for some reason, it doesn't mean they're at the bottom of the food chain, but if you need to work your way up, they're the best starting point for now, email both if needed...

Thank you for your help and explanation! I've completed the first session which ended in August 2023. I've also informed Jessica about deferring my next enrollment to the spring term of 2024, and she has accepted it. However, I'm unable to log into my student account due to "Invalid Credentials". I'm concerned about potentially exceeding the maximum enrollment duration, but I couldn't find any policy regarding this online. I will inquire about it next Monday.

Jessica is no longer the academic advisor. You should contact YourPace admissions because you have an enrollment deferment question.

jessica.m.cameron@maine.edu Can help you as she's the YourPace Admissions Director.

As I've already explained, your password expired and you left the university. Nonstudents don't have access to MaineStreet. Passwords expire every 180 days so unless you changed your password, you were locked out of your account.
