Two capstones in one term - Yenisei - 01-18-2024

I just want to confirm that doing a Business Capstone and a Liberal Arts Capstone in the same 15 credit term is a very bad idea. Is that correct?

Basically, it really depends on the student and what they have on their plate... If nothing, sure, do the two at once and extend the classes if needed.  If they have nothing on their plate and plenty of free time, that's a feasible option, having said that, depending on their energy/time, if it's not viable to complete them both at the time or extend the classes when it's 50%+ complete, then they should do one at a time...

I think that it could be a good idea to have specific topics in mind before enrolling, as just defining the scope of a research problem can take a couple of weeks.

I believe the OP was asking about doing Bachelors or Associates degree capstones. In those cases, you normally do not do any research and the capstones are more about demonstrating that you have acquired all the different "skills" needed for that degree. If we start looking at Masters or higher level degrees, those capstones are much more likely to require some research prep and you would definitely not want to try to do multiples of those at a single time. For Doctorate level, it may take 6 months of back and forth just to settle on an approved path depending on what is being studied.

Thanks everyone. It would be the Business and the Liberal Arts Capstones at the bachelor's level. I'd love to do as much in advance as possible.
